Occupy Houston

My company has just issued this bulletin:

As a follow-up to recent protests on Wall Street, groups calling for government reform are expected to hold protests in the Houston Central Business District today.

Corporate Security would like to take this opportunity to remind employees and contractors not to engage with protestors, to be aware and ensure you are not followed into your work area by unauthorized persons or persons who are not wearing an identification badge.

For your safety and to ensure that only authorized persons access our locations, the Group Security Standards should be followed. For more information on the Group Security Standards, please click here.

If you have any concerns or to report any unauthorized personnel, please contact Corporate Security.

Obviously, the recent Wall Street reforms were woefully inadequate, and very few people or institutions have been indicted. When you remember that most of Congress is buried deep in the pocket of Wall Street, as are many in the White House, that's not surprising. It's not right, but it's not surprising. Something BIG needs to happen.
