ENOUGH with all the "faith" BS!

We will be SO much better off when we finally shed that religious straightjacket that has been binding us for lo these many years.

On the one hand, Hillary and Obama appeared on CNN tonight at a forum on "faith." How nauseating. And how timely, what with the recent bullshit over those "bitter" voters in Pennsylvania.

Obama and Clinton are each trying to outdo the other on the "imaginary friend" competition. How demeaning that we still have to bow so low to religion before even getting inside the door.

While much of the rest of the world is shedding religion and coming into the light, America is stumbling backwards into the religious abyss.

Here's a snip from an article on CNN:

"Clinton has told interviewers that she has felt the presence of the Holy Spirit on many occasions, and that she believes the resurrection of Christ is a historical fact; Obama regularly mentions his faith in his stump speech, and has made religion a major element of his appeal in many states."
The rest of that story is here.

On the other hand, Richard Dawkins' book "The God Delusion" is now available in paperback, bringing it into the reach of millions more readers. Here's a snippet from Dawkins from the preface to the paperback edition:
"… I suspect that for many people the main reason they cling to religion is not that it is consoling, but that they have been let down by our educational system and don’t realize that non-belief is an option. This is certainly true for most people who think they are creationists. They have simply not been properly taught Darwin’s astounding alternative."
How about you, Barack? Hillary?
