Donor fellatio

John Fugelsang has another good one. This one is from Substack.

I have called Ted Cruz' and John Cornyn's office several times over the course of this year. Sometimes the phone just rings and rings. Sometimes the call goes to voicemail and I leave either a nice or a scathing message. Not once have I been able to speak to a live person. After all, I guess, I am not a billionaire nor a donor to either of Texas senators. I did get one letter in response from Ted Cruz: a mealy-mouthed, bullshit piece thanking me for communicating with him. "We take all constituents opinions seriously." Seriously? Yeah, what a load of crap.

THE DONOR FELLATIO ACT OF 2025

Trump’s legacy is making the deficit obese, and the social safety net anorexic.

JUL 01, 2025

So the GOP is trying to finalize their Billionaire Bootlicking Bill, or the Blaspheming Bubba Budget, or the Boondocks Betrayal Bloodbath; or whatever they’re calling it.

And don’t worry - they’re not ending Medicaid. They’re actually just introducing a new medical plan called ‘Have You Tried Dying?’

11 million Americans are about to get financially curb-stomped so the easily-bought whores of the GOP Congress can pay back their pimps. And I apologize to sex workers for comparing them to Congress.

But ask five people what they hate about the bill; you’ll get five answers.

This is the largest legalized wealth transfer in American history.

It’s also the largest debt ceiling increase in U.S. history

This bill takes money from the bottom 90% of Americans and hands it to the top 1% so they can finally install heated marble bidets, flowing with actual Medicaid patient tears.

11.8 million people will be stripped of health insurance and yet it’s still adding $3.3 trillion to the debt.

That’s trillion with a “T,” nearly a trillion more than the House version, and all to make the ultra-rich just richer-er enough to afford a second golden toilet on their Mars escape rocket.

And what do you get for that $3.3 trillion, added to the next generation’s debt?

You get a nice email that says, “Sorry, your local hospital’s closing & your nursing home is now a Spirit Halloween store.”

11.8 million Americans losing health coverage might seem abstract, but imagine Madison Square Garden filled to capacity 590 times—and every single person gets cancer, but no doctor. Project 2025 has officially turned healthcare into Squid Game.

They’re calling it “tax reform;” when it’s actually money laundering for billionaires, with a text message saying, “Sorry, your cancer isn’t in the budget.”

Mike Johnson calls this a pro-growth” bill. Oh, it grows alright— it grows the deficit, the number of homeless families, and the rate at which Grandma dies of untreated pneumonia in a Publix parking lot.

Let’s break down this oligarchic wet dream:

👉 Cuts $930 billion from Medicaid.
Which means nearly 12 million people lose health insurance. It’s like a slow-rolling Christian nationalist euthanasia program.

👉 Slashes 20% from food stamps.
Twenty percent cuts to SNAP. Because you know what builds strong families?
Starvation. So now, if you're poor in America, you can’t go to the doctor and you can’t eat

👉 Adds $3.3 trillion to the deficit.

Fortunately, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has a sophisticated plan to make it all back by selling the copper wiring from your local hospital.

They’re also cracking open new coal tax subsidies - in this century - and slapping taxes on wind, solar, and batteries—despite clean energy being 90% of new power generation last year.

Republicans are trying to shut down the economy of the future to prop up the coal economy of the past. And they’re cutting green energy credits so hard even Elon Musk was like, ‘Whoa, bro, I didn’t bribe you that much.

Medicaid Will Be Devastated—But Only After the Midterms

Republicans made sure the worst cuts kick in after 2026, hoping voters won’t notice who caused the pain. Legislative arson, but with a delayed fuse.

Two-thirds of nursing home residents and 1 in 10 U.S. veterans rely on Medicaid. This bill guts it, like it’s a bloated luxury.

They’re giving tax cuts to the richest people alive while cutting food aid for hungry kids. If this bill were a person, it would kick a dog on Christmas.

Republicans say this is all about “restoring the dignity of work” - by making sure grandma has to take a shift at Dollar Tree to afford insulin.

The only work requirement in this bill should be for Republican senators—who clearly haven’t read the damn thing.

Senator Josh Hawley, he of the insurrection pom-poms, openly said: “Don’t Cut Medicaid.”  Then he turns around and votes to gut Medicaid by $930 billion. A smart Republican who can see beyond Trump would oppose this for the folks back home. But we’re talking about Josh Hawley.

And (very concerned moderate who just feels awful about this) Lisa Murkowski voted to advance it because she got a waiver for Alaska. Which the parliamentarian struck down, because it was a bribe.

Thom Tillis spoke out against it, forcefully. He also did it while announcing he’ll leave Congress after his term is finished. Whether leaving the Senate insulates him from the wrath of MAGA remains to be seen; but it’s always funny how some politicians grow spines the second they grow retirement pensions.

Republicans, if your messaging sucks so hard it makes human Fyre Festival like Thom Tillis look like a profile in courage just for retiring, then maybe — just maybe — you’re doing it wrong.

They’re about to pass the most hated piece of legislation in modern U.S. history. This bill is so unpopular 60% of Americans hate it—and that number would probably be higher if the media wasn’t too busy diagnosing that time in 2023 that Biden had a cough.

And what does the bill actually fund?

👉 Fossil fuel kickbacks.
👉 A quarter trillion more for mass deportations
👉 Red tape, bureaucracy, and hoops that are impossible to jump through,

And hey — if you're a retiree in a rural county whose hospital just closed?
Well; thoughts, prayers, bootstraps, walk it off. Death is character-building.

And yes—Trump’s inspiring confidence by publicly melting down online. Screaming at Forbes magazine. Threatening journalists. He’s also just announced that he’s selling a new men’s fragrance, which probably smells like a mixture of Big Mac sauce & rape whistles.

And this isn’t incompetence. It’s cruelty on purpose.

Because trickle-down economics has never worked. Reagan tried it. Bush tried it. W tried it. Trump tried it. All it does is make the poor poorer, make the middle class the top of the bottom, and let billionaires buy more senators.

And somehow the GOP keeps selling it like it’s a magic spell from Hogwarts. Seriously, I’ve been hearing about this all my life, I’m still waiting for my trickle down prize in the mail.

They always burn down the economy; there’s always a Democratic president elected to put out the fire; and the arsonists always hang around to heckle the fire department.

This is who the Trumpified GOP is now:
A party of fascist hall monitors with a God complex.
They don’t care about policy.
They don’t care about math.
They seem to despise what’s actually in the New Testament.

They’re reactionary nihilists who think the only crime in America is being poor and alive at the same time.

If this GOP were any more evil, they’d need a laugh track and a monocle.

Fortunately, we’ve got Democrats, spending their Sunday news show airtime attacking Zohran Mamdani.

Legacy Media Is Covering the Wrong Controversy

MAGA extremists are blowing up the national debt, gutting Medicaid, dooming red state voters and killing clean energy—but the headlines are about a democratic socialist in NYC who wants free buses.  It’s like watching your house burn while CNN wonders if you’re too aggressive with the hose.

This isn’t left vs. right—we’ve completed the transition to sane vs. insane. This “Big, Beautiful Bill” doesn’t just cut services—it amputates safety nets.

So again, for those who’ve read the Jesus parts, this bill:

  1. Steals from the sick
  2. Starves the poor
  3. Slams the elderly
  4. Screws the working class
  5. And fuels a debt bomb that explodes after Republicans leave office, so the next Democrat can get blamed for cleaning it up.

It’s a smash-and-grab heist with millions of Americans tied up in the back of the van. When these uninsured people get sick and show up at your local emergency room, who do you think pays for that?

The ultra-rich are getting permanent tax cuts.

The poor are getting permanent consequences..

So what do we do?

CALL.
Your senators.
(202) 224-3121

And if they vote for this?

Vote ‘em out.
Send them back to the hedge fund they crawled out of.

Because we don’t need another generation of soulless goons selling out democracy for a billionaire’s stock portfolio.

Trump’s legacy is making the deficit obese and the social safety net anorexic.

Remember:

You can either have massive tax cuts for billionaires —
Or basic human decency.

America has proven that we can’t have both.

Original.
