In the last six months of the Bush Presidency, the economy suddenly began taking a nosedive. After repeated pronouncements that "the fundamentals of the economy are strong," suddenly, we needed to cough up $700 billion to rescue the banks.
Bush "oversaw" the first $350 billion of the $700 billion that Congress authorized. We still don't really know where it all went. The banks won't tell us.
Three hundred and fifty BILLION dollars.
How hard would it be to skim a few hundred million or a couple billion off the top?
Never pass up a chance to sit down or relieve yourself.
