2 oil men in da House

the White House, that is ... and look what we get in the Gulf of Mexico ...

I was just on the treadmill, and these thoughts came to me, floating on the ether ...

BP is the worst of the worst (check out the "Three Little Pigs" document recently uncovered; what cold, calculating motherfuckers); the Bush/Cheney cabal let the oil companies run hogwild, not to mention de-fanging practically every other government agency they had jurisdiction over.

But we still have far too many Bush holdovers still in the government.  Why?  If Obama really wants to do the right thing, and he sure can SAY the right thing from time to time (actions notwithstanding), he should start by rooting out all of the Bush-appointed anti-regulators that are still there.

And the major fraud on the part of Morgan Stanley, WAMU, Lehman, and so many other huge firms is so obvious, and documented, to do nothing would be unconscionable.   Talk about the lack of perp walks.

Again, if Obama really does want to do the right thing, it has to have occurred to him by now that the Republicans will oppose EVERY initiative.  And since they WILL oppose anything Obama wants to do, why not go the hell FOR it?!  DO THE RIGHT THING.  What do you have to lose?

(And then we have the reports of greatly-increased death threats from the right towards Democrats)
