A Quick Follow Up On Musk's Treason...A Friend Asks, Is Getting Him On Money Laundering, Also Snaring His Accomplices, "Easier" Than Treason?"
My Reply-
["That's the "Al Capone" "follow the money" strategy. "Get him on anything, it doesn't matter," is the rationale. We've had some debate about this before. It's a big loser.
We have to destroy him and Trump together, and likewise their movement with them, instead of nipping at their toes. Treason is actually easier to convict on because Musk confesses to it every day out of his pure Olympian arrogance.
But we have to repudiate the corrupt American culture which enabled him. Our politics have turned rotten because of the tragic moral and intellectual degeneration of our population. That is the painful truth which the populists want to avoid.
The MAGA half of Americans are largely immoral swine. One-half of the other half don't care about anything but themselves and have no attention span for much else. Americans are seen by other nations as being sick for allowing Trump to be president twice, and they are right.
You have to realize that roughly one-half of Americans are either idiots, religious bigots, corrupted by racism and greed, or are just amoral. Musk exists for the same reason Trump does. 80 million people are just plain failed humans in their character. You are not going to change them or the children they are raising through "Lawfare." Did we prosecute Goering and the other Nazis at Nuremberg for stealing French art treasures, or for crimes against humanity? FFS.
We have to do it through public Nuremberg style trials, not just to punish the evil-doers but in order to confront Americans with their complicity in Trump's and Musk's crimes. Just like we did with the Nazis.
Money laundering charges won't change Americans. Showing them video of piles of dead bodies of Ukrainian children that died because Musk slowed down their air defense warning systems might, just like the newsreel footage of the Nazi death camps at the post-war trials did with the Germans. The people in Congress that want to subpoena Musk for cutting USAID funding causing the deaths of 100,000's of people are absolutely on the right track. That's exactly what I would do. Not yet another financial scandal and litigation that goes nowhere, because these oligarchs are just replacement parts for a rotten system. Show Americans how they voted for and/or ignored genocide.
The place where you and many others often make the same error is the belief that we are fighting a small group of wealthy oligarchs whose power is in their control of money, and that's how they corrupt politics. And you think that using their money as a weapon against them will stop them because going with legal and financial strategies to take it away is their weakness. It will not. That is just impotent populism, not an actual war-winning strategy.
Their power is not in their control of money. It is their ability to control your minds. They own Americans from the neck up. People think they are independent thinkers. What a joke, Americans in the majority are a bunch of easily misled lemmings who are getting the government they deserve. The solution is to be found in changing that. Which we can.
Let's talk about how to fix that over the next two generations or so instead of screwing around with a bunch of legal gimmicks or hiring computer techs to track down cyber crimes. The people have to change if they want democracy. They first need to take back their own minds and break with the destructive, violent, nihilistic, and narcissistic Roman-style entertainment culture which bodysnatched them.
