Telluride redux

Early morning Thursday we drove back from Pueblo to Telluride.  The trip west wasn't nearly as scary to my poor wife as the eastbound journey to Pueblo was.  Fortunately, we again dodged the raindrops that were falling to the south and north.

The beautiful Arkansas River runs along Highway 50 for much of the way from Pueblo up to the Continental Divide.  Lots of rafting, tubing, and white water.  There are just endless outdoor opportunities in Colorado.

Blue Mesa Lake was one of the rather large lakes on the western side of the Divide.

One cool thing about Telluride (and there are many) is the free gondola that runs every day from 7am to midnight.

The gondola is also partially powered by solar panels.  Damn hippies!

We took it twice during our stay, both times to Mountain Village to have dinner at the Hotel Madeline.

Best meals of the whole week.

Are you a snow skiier?  Telluride has some of the best trails, but you'll never find me on them!

Of course another visit to the dispensaries!!
