Jim Bakker

Yeah, this guy, Jim Bakker, convicted felon, is back, and he's crazier than ever. He must be relying on the age-old maxim that there's a sucker born every minute. Thanks to the internet, anyone can get a show on TV.

I was thinking, how could anyone take this guy seriously? And then I remember that millions of people voted for Trump. Many voted for Trump because they recognized a racist when they saw one; some voted because they were jealous of Trump's money and bravado; some may have been pissed that their jobs had been shipped overseas, and this guy said he'd bring 'em back; some voted for Trump out of personal greed, knowing he'd give big tax breaks (especially to himself).

Regardless, people fall for charlatans all the time. Probably always will. If I were very religious, I might suspect Trump of being the Antichrist. He seems to fit what we've been told about the Antichrist.

God sent Trump "in grace"! Hahaha! Trump is a "respite"! Somebody shut that idiot up before he hurts himself.

Jim Bakker: God Personally Told Me He Sent Trump to Delay the End Times

Televangelist Jim Bakker said on his show this week that Donald Trump was elected in order to give Christians time to prepare for the end of the world. And this was a fact, Bakker said, because God told him personally.

“This is what He told me,” Bakker claimed. “He said, ‘Donald Trump is a respite in this troubled times and I sent him in grace to give you time to prepare for what’s coming on earth.’
Bakker said that while “the Antichrist spirit” has been let loose on America, “God has given us a man who is not afraid to fight. We have a president people think is crazy. They call him crazy, but he’s making peace treaties, he’s doing all the things to try to solve the world’s problems and God has put him on earth — God spoke to me the other night, He said, ‘I put Donald Trump on earth to give you time, the church, to get ready.’

I don’t know what’s crazier: The idea that Trump will save us from anything or Bakker claiming God speaks through him. (Both are lies.)
In any case, if we’re facing the end of the world, I’d bet good money Trump would have something to do with it. Which means Bakker’s claim is really saying that Trump was sent by God to save us from… Trump.
I miss the good old days when Bakker was blaming President Obama for Hurricane Matthew. Now I have to worry that the sort of people who work in the government actually take this shit seriously.
