Lest we forget

It galls me that the Republicans continue to be so recalcitrant about EVERYTHING, when it has been shown repeatedly that their policies tend to LOSE jobs.  What is even more galling is that the Democrats seem to be unable to convince the American people that things do get better under Democratic administrations. 

Just take a look at the graph below.  In the last four months of the Bush administration, almost 2 million jobs were lost.  IN FOUR MONTHS!  As soon as Obama took over, it started turning around.  You might need to click the pic to enlarge it, but suffice it to say the red bars are Bush and the blue bars are Obama.

Today's jobs report isn't all that great, but over 100,000 jobs WERE ADDED.  And yet, all you hear from Republicans is that Obama's policies are failures.  Failures?  Compared to what?  Compared to Bush's policies? 

Obama is a far cry from a "real" Democrat, and growth may be anemic, but at least the country is no longer screaming down the tubes as it was under Bush.
