the people

Over the course of this weekend, I was reminded about the rather unbelieveable website, People of WalMart. They post photos of various people shopping at WalMart. 

If you have never visited the site, beware.  Prepare to take a long, sad look at humanity.  We already know that WalMart floods America with super-cheap crap from Asia while paying minimum wage with no health benefits and destroys small businesses wherever they go.  The people that shop there somehow seem ... appropriate.

And that site naturally reminded of another, similar site called Humans of New York.  This one posts photos of people on the streets of New York City.  They can be cool, outrageous, bizarre and lovely.  Like life.  

And then it struck me that People of WalMart represents Republicans while Humans of New York represents the Democrats.  You might think that people are stranger in New York than WalMart.  No fucking way.
