Global Broadcasting

Oh boy! Here's my chance to get back into TV! But on second thought, no thanks!

Houston World TV network on air in 2011

Houston Business Journal - by Christine Hall
Global Broadcasting Channel is set to unveil a new Houston-based news network on DirectTV to 18.7 million American households on March 3.

The network plans to launch with a 24-hour news cycle from its facilities in The Preserve, located at 2040 North Loop West.

The network is independently owned by the family of Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia, who produces media programs in India. Houston production company Zenfilm is managing the creative services.

GBC is expected to add about 75 new jobs in Houston next year.

Well, if it's going to be mostly Indian TV, fuhgeddaboutit.
