Obama vows to cut rules to boost jobs

The president signed an executive order telling federal agencies to ferret out rules that place an unreasonable burden on businesses. But business owners and Republicans greeted Obama's order with skepticism.

Florida's legislative director for the National Federation of Independent Businesses, Allen Douglas, also noticed Obama's rhetorical shift.

"He sounds like a Republican, doesn't he?" Douglas said. "He sees the writing on the wall, that, yeah, government is in the way."
