Often there is a simple explanation for something that once appeared miraculous, and pity the fool that exposes the truth when people just want to "believe."

Not only did the truth of the water get revealed, but the guy who discovered the truth has been charged with insulting the Catholic Church and was hounded out of his home country of India. People wanted to believe bullshit so much they were ready to punish the truth teller. That's pretty fucked up, folks.
